| Q1 - |
How does Edgevantage work?
| • |
Maps a process by breaking it down into components tasks |
| • |
Each task is assigned to a user or user group |
| • |
Each task is assigned a time limit |
| • |
Each user defines an alternate user who will look after his tasks when the primary user is not available |
| • |
Escalation rules are defined for each task – so that the system can initiate action on the expiration of the timer |
| • |
Timers can be set for individual tasks or for the entire process. |
|
| Q2 - |
Does Edgevantage provide decision support?
| • |
Yes, Edgevanatage supports decision making by carrying three different types of information. |
| • |
Static information – this information can be entered by one user and then read by other users, but this information cannot be analysed and synthesised for reporting purposes. |
| • |
Dynamic information – Edgevantage uses web forms supported by a My SQL Server database to allow dynamic information to be entered and used for reporting purposes across the system. |
| • |
External documents – Edgevantage allows any form of digital document to be attached and carried along the process. |
|
| Q3 - |
Can Edgevantage be integrated to other systems?
| • |
Yes, Edgevantage has been integrated to BAARN and other financial applications to obtain information and also to pass on information so that data entry can be minimised. |
|
| Q4 - |
Can Edgevantage help an organization define and meet service levels to customers?
| • |
Yes, the system is defined to help organizations to capture clients by raising levels of expectations and the ensuring the raised expectations can be met. |
| • |
When a process is being defined, it can be defined to ensure support within a stipulated time frame for example “loan approvals in 24 hrs”; “A purchase order within 3 days” etc. |
| • |
The scoreboard module provides real time information screens which can be customised to suit each process so that managers, team leaders and process owners can easily identify protential bottlenecks and take remedial action in a timely manner. The scoreboard is unlike most reports which provide historical information, and is dedicated to providing real time information much like a dashboard of a car while travelling. |

|
| Q8 - |
Can routine activities be used to trigger a process?
| • |
